Praise for a Digicel technician

Dear Editor,

In Jamaica today, it is quite commonplace to receive sloppy and unprofessional service from customer service agents and other personnel in various businesses.

However, recently I experienced some problems

with my Digicel 4 G Internet broadband service and the company expeditiously dispatched their Montego Bay technician, Mr Ryan Whittaker, to solve the problem.

He worked for some five hours to locate and meticulously fix the problem. During my interaction with Mr Whittaker I found him to be a very courteous, disciplined, highly informative, and pragmatic technician who went beyond the call of duty. I am most satisfied with the impeccable service he performed. He represented Digicel very well and is clearly a gigantic asset to the company.

Mr Whittaker's commitment to his job indicates that all is not lost in this country as there are still some very professional, responsible and decent persons working in companies in Jamaica.

Well done, Ryan Whittaker.
