Congratulations to the Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites for having the testicular fortitude to make this step in the right direction in the context of our partisan political culture and misguided understanding and feelings regarding the role of sports in schools and the role of schools.
Let us give the minister all the support we can. It is a small first step, but it can be a significant one.
Let us hope administrative bureaucracy will not slow this one down.
