Presidential pardon for Buju?

Dear Editor,

I sincerely hope that with all the fanfare, street-fixing, street vendor evicting, and Senator A J Nicholson's chest-beating, that a possible presidential pardon for incarcerated Jamaican reggae artiste Mark Myrie, aka Buju Banton, is brought up by someone, anyone.

I know that an example has to be set by a man of Obama's judicious stature, and I would not want him to shatter that image. However, gaining the praises of Buju Banton, himself, and of the conscientious supporters of his artistry and insights, and emboldening those who want to do that which is "right", but are hindered by the scrutiny of stiffed-necked loud-mouthed detractors, would do that image of President Obama, well, though controversially.

Jesus Christ did not stand a chance of being set free because Pontius Pilate's political career was more important. However, I suspect that President Obama's legacy of boldness and wisdom, like his sense of justice, surpasses that of Pontius Pilate.
