Dear Editor,
I refer to the recent announcement made by Digicel Jamaica about their ground-breaking new offer known as Digicel Zero, which will see customers getting all calls on its network free with the purchase of a three-day data plan.
Digicel has no idea what they have done. When I first heard of it I thought it was a prank, but then I remembered that April Fool's Day was long gone.
As a Digicel customer, I deeply admire and appreciate this move as it also calls for stronger competition from their rival telecommunications companies.
This move will also enable Digicel to capture the attention of more customers, as there is no better word to use to Jamaicans when you are selling or promoting a good product/service than free.
