Dear Editor,
We often see Facebook status updates, group invites, tweets or e-mail from friends and acquaintances saying something to the effect of: "My phone has been lost or stolen and I lost everyone's number. Please, can you all send me your numbers?"
Losing a phone is commonplace, but it can be very irritating. Such an event can increase our frustration, particularly when we lose all of our data, together with our contacts. We might be reasonably good at backing up our other valuable data but we do not back up our "saved" numbers. Maybe we think we will never lose our phone, therefore we do not prepare for such an unpleasant event. Hence, when we lose our phones, we lose all of our contacts too!
Losing a phone can be less frustrating if we back up our "saved" phone numbers on our computer or on the cloud. Once we set up the settings, it will automatically back up our numbers. We can then save ourselves from unnecessary frustration.
When will you back up your "saved" contacts on your phone?
