Dear Editor,
Tourism Minister Wykeham McNeill is being disingenuous when he boasts of a five per cent boost in visitor arrivals on the one hand, and declares war on unlicensed guest houses on the other. The minister needs to stop biting the hand that feeds him and accomodate the informal sector with amendments that make it less costly for "Aunty B" to rent out her spare room and home cooking to visitors who are searching for that authentic experience called community tourism.
Stop paying lip service to put more resources into dealing with harassment in resort towns.

Don't fight community tourism, McNeill
