Dear Editor,

I heard junior works minister Richard Azan say on a television programme on June 9, 2015 that the reason changes have had to be made to the Constituency Development Fund is that some members of parliament have claimed works to gullies that have not been performed, and in some cases the gullies do not even exist. This is a public admission of fraud coming to the attention of the Government.

Question for Azan: What is the Government of Jamaica doing about the prosecution of those MPs?

Question for the police: This is a public statement that crimes have been committed. Should this be taken up by the police by way of the JCF Act, section 13; the Larceny Act; and the Corruption Prevention Act, Section 6b? Over to you, Commissioner Carl Williams.
