Dear Editor,
The crisis in the city, where citizens are getting water service for hours three days a weeks, is a shameful situation.
Jamaicans have been saddled with a government that is only concerned about itself.
The People's National Party has been office for the majority of the years since in Independence and they have not articulated, started, begged funds for, borrowed money towards any improved water supply system.
They beg to get furniture for offices, they borrow to pay themselves and they find money for party functions and welfare every year. For water, not even a drop.
A government with the benefit of such a continued turn at the wheel should be ashamed that there is no plan being executed for the country's water supply.
Don't tell us the purse is empty! Tell somebody else! We see the Government fimnd money to do the things it wants to. Remember Festival at Stadium; remember those trips abroad; remember those big phone bills; remember Outameni; remember Obama's visit. Government finds money to do what it wants.
Shame on every member of Parliament who showers commendation on him/herself when our taps are dry. Shame on every member of Parliament who turns on the taps of his love for the poor but leaves them high and dry. Shame on you all.
