Dear Editor,
Apparently, the only opinion that matters now is that of tolerance. Tolerance for what, might I ask?
Is it still not morally wrong for a man to murder and steal? Lest we forget, it is still a sin to covet what belongs to our neighbours, but no laws are in place to prosecute those who do so. It is still a sin to dishonour our parents and it is still a sin to commit adultery. Where stands the law of the land on such matters?
Then again, forget the law of the land. Where are those who plead for tolerance? Will they plead that those who are asking for tolerance be tolerant with me, or is it just a one-way street? You do not tolerate me, yet I should tolerate you or face some sort of punishment.
The opening of Pandora's box will not just unleash LGBT on us all, a close second will include whoever wants to marry their mother, father, brother, sister, uncle, aunt and favourite pet for the sake of what they believe to be OK.
Oh, for crying out loud, I am not a bigot, nor am I hating a minority. And it sure doesn't cause hurt to anyone voicing my opinion. Stop whining!
Then again, you are not tolerant of my beliefs or customs so I should expect no better. So, off with my head as I stick to the rather narrow views of morality that the Bible provides. How dare you?
By his word, God declares it an abomination, and I stand by what he says. Better to have the world against me than he who created the world. At least I know I will get a new makeover.
Are you going to be tolerant of those who ask for tolerance but will not be tolerant of your intolerance towards a lifestyle that your forefathers were intolerant? Your choice, I have made mine.
