Dear Editor,
If Marlon James can win the 2015 Man Booker Prize for A Brief History of Seven Killings, it cannot be harder for someone to pen a book about a brief history of over 70 killings – the Tivoli Gardens operation. That is certain to win a prestigious prize if you survive the research.
Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke might not be as famous as the late Bob Marley, but his rise to fame must be fascinating and should expose the raw underbelly of the link between politics and criminality.
Maybe Herro Blair could write it if he has stopped trembling, and Everald Warmington could help spice up sections, while the Reverend Al Miller and former Commissioner of Police Owen Ellington could fill in the blanks on his capture.
This should certainly be a spell-binding novel; whoever writes it will be rich or dead.
