Hypocritical church folk

You know what the problem with the church folks is? They are very hypocritical. They tend to dehumanise, criticise and demonise LGBT individuals and then use that to uplift themselves.

I went to a gospel concert and they were singing and worshiping for over an hour, but the vibe was not lively. But as soon as an artiste came on stage and was bashing and speaking against homosexuals, the crowd got so energetic. Thereafter, every act that came on stage used the same issue to get the crowd’s response.

Hypocritical, as, on one hand, they quote Leviticus 20: 13 “And if a man lie with mankind …committed abomination”, yet still they eat shrimp, lobster and catfish, wear mixed line suits, and sleep with their wives while they are on their cycles. The same Leviticus names as abominations also.

I realise that too many church folks pick and choose the scriptures that they want to use and tailor them to suit their own lives rather than preaching the word of God.

As a New Year’s resolution for these hypocritical church folks, let us all re-examine ourselves and see that we all need Jesus.
