Dear Editor,
I note with interest the offer extended by Damion Crawford to give the Jamaica Labour Party candidate for St Andrew East Rural, Juliet Holness, advice about the constituency.
In my view it seems as if Crawford has forgotten that he is still the member of parliament.
Of course, it is good to give someone advice, but take note that you are still at the helm, so you should do your work first. It seems to me that there are three candidates vying for the seat.
Juliet Holness has her own visions for the constituency to bring prosperity, so she doesn’t need any advice from a sitting member of parliament who is not doing much.
One has to be mindful of what they want to do for others and are not doing for themselves. On the other hand, Crawford should advise Imani Duncan-Price, who succeeds him to represent the People’s National Party, on what she should do. He needs to advise her that she must be real in whatever she does and not fake. St Andrew East Rural wants someone who is real.
Damion Crawford, instead of wanting to advise Juliet Holness, who already knows more than you know, go and fulfil some of the promises you made from 2011.
Crawford, how much work did you do in St Andrew East Rural? Why did the delegates of St Andrew East Rural vote against you? If you were a good member of parliament they wouldn’t have voted against you.
