Dear Editor,
The people in the marriage section of the Registrar General‘s Department (RGD) must be shameless. Just prior to and since my letter chiding the RGD and Flow appeared in your newspaper last month, I have sent three e-mail inquiries about my 18-month-old application for reinstatement as a marriage officer. I have not had the courtesy of a reply yet!
I am beginning to wonder if I am the sole leper among applicants, or this despicable delay is the norm re applicants.
I am not suggesting that we block the entrance to the RGD’s office or burn tyres there, but somebody needs to build a Nebuchadnezzar-type furnace under the collective derriere of the staff within the marriage section of the RGD.
