I am certain the Barack Obama security team will not allow him to drive in an open vehicle while in Dallas and risk his life as did John F Kennedy so many decades ago, even though this president is going to mourn the death of white police officers killed by the black ‘martyr’ Micah Johnson.
Wrong or right, Micah Johnson may have done something that Obama has failed to do: act in the interest of black people — the people who have suffered from white supremacy since they came off those slave ships many centuries ago.
I keep recalling how a white president by the name of Harry S Truman segregated the United States military by Executive Order 9981. He knew that if this went to Congress for a vote it would never happen.
Now the suggestion has been made that an executive order be made to screen existing and future police officers who show biases which could cause them to behave as did the one in Minnesota.
Obama, with his excellent “Wah gwaan, Jamaica?” seems fit more for acting roles in Hollywood, because I find him to be a big pretender, as he hopes that he will be on the right side of history by ensuring that these racist institutions — covert and overt — remain after he exits the office of president.
