Dear Editor,
Am I the only one not obsessed with these alleged People’s National Party’s (PNP) misappropriation of campaign funds donated by private entities and not from the public coffers? Yes, it’s worrying and alarming, but I’m more interested in what the Government that is in charge is doing, since their actions, or lack thereof, have a more direct effect on my standard of living.
I’m sure they’re glad for the distraction, as it is the perfect diversion from steady and daily increase in prices, like Nicodemus in the night, the unchecked rise in criminality, and the total silence on key aspects of the country’s performance.
So, while the PNP self-destructs that is not my main priorities at the moment, because anybody who knows politics in Jamaica knows that it’s a regular feature of political parties to appear at the brink of self-destruction only to re-emerge unscathed and unified, just in the nick of time to contest an election.
My concern is with the media’s silence on the majority of ministers who appear impotent, especially the security minister.
