Shine a ‘camera’ light on the criminals

Dear Editor,

The following is an open letter to Prime Minister Andrew Holness:

To the messiah in green,

As the new messiah who could have worked miracles and fix Jamaica in four days had Hurricane Matthew, as an illegal immigrant, landed on our shores, why is it, after eight months in office, taking you so long to find a solution to take care of the home-grown terrorists that are wreaking havoc on the country?

I have seen your many photos on Facebook, where you were busy nailing roofs, fixing zinc, gathering water, and all the things deemed necessary to deal with Matthew. With your killer smile in some of those photos, I’m sure your portrait could be hanging in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

The last time I heard you make mention of the crime situation in Jamaica was during your walk through Montego Bay. Now Spanish Town seems to be under seige as five people are dead, three of which were children.

I do not know if you are aware that the monument dedicated to children who have been murdered in Jamaica at the Secret Gardens in downtown Kingston has more than 2,000 names, and that it is all “cried out” and running out of space.

Is it possible, Sir, that since you seem to walk around with a camera crew, that you could walk in some of these volatile areas and, instead of having the cameras focused on you, maybe your cameramen could hide on the top of buildings, like what snipers do, and pan the cameras all around, and maybe they might catch a glimpse of some of these terrorists who are wrecking havoc on the country, and give the police an idea of what they look like?

Sir, as the new Messiah, you need to fix it. You promised you would do so, and godly people do not lie.
