Dear Editor,
It is time for Jamaicans to get serious about Jamaica. When issues and challenges arise out of the malaise we have in the economic and social fabric, there is a groundswell of outrage, bawling and pronouncements, while the issues at hand are not being dealt with. These issues all call for strategic assessments and actions to address them.
The political class, sitting steadfast at the head of State power, sit and look and talk, and the people of the country have now to call on their next best alternative: prayer.
I will be the first to admit that prayer is great, but I will add that it is not prayer alone that changes anything, there also must be action. What are the actions that the people are taking? It is time we get to the point of actions, rather than a ‘bag a mouth’.
