Dear Editor,
The respected and respectable former central bank governor, Derick Latibeaudiere, has said nothing to contradict the call by a most outstanding man of finance (public and private) Edward Seaga, a former prime minister and minister of finance and investor, to try fixing the exchange rate to move the country forward.
The present system has certainly not been helping. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The old order must change, yielding place to the new, if we must have any hope.
In summary, if the exchange rate has not been stabilising and, there is no prospect of it being stabilised under the current system, common sense given by the Creator -- with which all of us are endowed though in varying degrees -- must prevail.
