Dear Editor,
Each year at the end of their financial year various companies in the island post their financial statements and say how much profit they have made. Yet in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy we are still to see some of them take on the daunting task of assisting the government to restore the roadways and other breaches that occurred.
A problem area exists near two major banks in Half-Way-Tree. Whenever there is a heavy downpour the whole place is like a river in spate. I suggest that both banks take on the task of repairing the affected area. Let's hope that in the meantime, no lives will be lost.
