Dear Editor,
It seems a general election will be called soon. I am, therefore, stating five reasons I believe that the Government should be given a second term.
1. The continuation of the rescuing of the Jamaican economy. There have been great improvements in the economy with Jamaicans enjoying one of the most stable periods at the moment.
2. The reforming of the education system. Since 2012 there has been great improvements in our education system. Schools have been taken off the shift system, allowing more contact hours. There has been a better delivery of learning, as specialist teachers are being trained and put in place.
3. The justice delivery is getting better. Laws are being passed to "free-up" the little man. The expungement of criminal records and more judges are being installed.
4. The public transportation system is on the up; buses are running on time, they are cleaner and the crews more helpful. Rural communities are also soon to be benefit from full-time bus system.
5. The energy crisis that we had once is soon to be no more. Technology is being placed in the hands of the common man, for example, tablets in schools.
There is so much more to be said, but we'll leave it here for now.
Progress is a process; it takes time, and the Government needs more time so greater things can be achieved. Don't stop the progress.
