No First-World Jamaica

Dear Editor,

The Vision 2030 for Jamaica is baffling.

According to investopedia: "First-World countries have stable currencies and robust financial markets, making them attractive to investors from all over the world. Examples of First-World countries include the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the Western European countries. First-World countries are in the minority; most countries are classified as Second or Third World."

Do we have even the resemblance of a First-World country? There will perhaps be a First-World part of Jamaica, but the rest of it will remain Third World unless the people who are still of the "Third World" category are eliminated.

So far, we are the capitalised on and not the capitalists. A First-World dream for Jamaica is too far-fetched.
