Dear Editor,
I wish to respond to an online article in the Observer, published on November 17, 2015, titled 'Dudus destroyed Jamaica's reputation'.
I am not here to defend the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) or the People's National Party (PNP), I'm just simply defending the truth. Here's the truth. Jamaica's reputation had been tarnished long before 'Dudus' came on the global scene.
One of the things that angers me the most is that, whenever an election approaches, these politicians always use these mass rallies as an opportunity to trash or blame others for the gutter that the country is in.
Blaming others or pointing fingers will definitely take us no nowhere. It is full time the Government starts focusing on what is best for the country. Some items that should be of foucs include ways to reduce the level of crime, which I think is the number one problem that is plaguing the country; stabilising the dollar; creating more jobs for the people, etc.
The Government has failed miserably to execute its tasks effectively, now it is looking for someone to blame for the the country's reputation. How pathetic.
Sometimes I am so embarrassed to hear the garbage that comes out of some of these politicians' mouths and the manner in which they conduct themselves, especially in public. Are these the people we are really voting for to represent us and our beautiful country Jamaica?
Let's stop pointing fingers and move positively forward in taking the country in the right direction.
