Racing fans have been suffering over the past year due to the grossly inadequate coverage of horse racing on CVM Television.
Race day after race day there are a plethora of issues associated with the live coverage carried by CVM-TV. These range from late airing of the feed, to no audio or even a blank screen for minutes. In one instance it was my call to the engineering department which alerted the person on duty that the time for the first race had changed and the station’s broadcast was indeed almost an hour late.
Indeed, the icing on the cake was on Saturday, January 2, 2016 when, up to 3:00 pm, there was no indication as to when the programme scheduled for 12:25 pm would be aired.
Even more astonishing is the fact that over 15 calls to the station went unanswered.
Not even a crawl on the screen to advise viewers as to the situation.
Over to you Caymanas Track Limited, surely you can demand greater professionalism or change stations. It’s that simple.
