Dear Editor,
I would like to commend and thank Ms Phillips of the Cross Roads Post Office for her selfless professionalism in doing her job in a dignified way.
My friend posted two packages to the American Embassy via Zip mail from Half-Way-Tree. It is reportedly the fastest method of delivery by post, so she embraced it and bought into the idea. They were posted on different dates. She went back Saturday, February 27, 2016 to find out if they were delivered.
When she went back, the supervisor checked and was unable to convince her that they were delivered. Anyway, the supervisor said she was not from the Half-Way-Tree location, but Cross Roads. She offered to take a telephone number and follow up. She called days later and delivered all the valuable information I was seeking.
I am convinced there are still people in Jamaica who are constantly resurrecting the Jamaican ideals. Ms Phillips is one such person.
