Dear Editor,
I simply must tell you of the lovely afternoon I spent in your Mandeville branch. Having taken the time an a Monday afternoon to deal with an important matter, I arrived at your office and was handed a ticket with the number 67. I then observed that the customer currently being served was #33.
Well, being in the midst of a busy workday, with various worrisome and pressing matters on my mind, how could I not be pleased at the prospect of having a little time to myself? I was indeed fortunate to find a chair that had just been vacated, and so I sat down and contemplated how to take advantage of this unexpected opportunity.
It then occurred to me how desirous I had always been of learning to play games on my cellphone. Well, here was my chance! I immediately put it to good use, and set about learning the intricacies of Snake Xenzia and Sudoku.
After a while, however, my attention was torn away from this most engaging task by an even more entertaining prospect — watching a fascinating documentary on reptiles that was being played right in the waiting area for our entertainment. It was in this relaxing manner that I spent my time, and before I knew it, an hour and a half had rolled by.
Although I was not one of the six lucky people to be served at the end of this period, it was time for me to leave for another engagement. And so it was that I had to end this pleasant interlude. It would be truly ungrateful of me, however, not to express to you my appreciation for this lovely experience. I simply can’t imagine a more enjoyable way to spend a Monday afternoon, and since, indeed, I must return once more for another attempt to conclude my business, I look forward with great anticipation to my next visit.
