Dear Editor,
I heard on the news that men went to the Dunrobin Primary School in St Andrew on Monday to see a teacher and were asked by a security guard to identify themselves — which they did.
They went into the Grade 5 class and told the children to be quiet and proceeded to abuse the teacher. What message is being sent to today's youth? Is this the way to teach the children to deal with the various issues and challenges that we have with each other?
Violence begets violence. No wonder some children are so violent. I am afraid of what will happen further down the road. The seeds that we are sowing are not good. All this leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth. My head hurts each time I hear of the repeated violence.
