Excellent job, JIS

Dear Editor,

I would like to use this medium to express gratitude to the Jamaica Information Service (JIS) for a job well done on the coverage of the visit of the 44th president of the United States to the island of Jamaica.

From the moment Air Force One landed at the Norman Manley International Airport to the time of his departure, we were kept abreast of what is going on.

Thanks to Fae Ellington, who always does an awesome job describing proceedings at such important national events. I felt as if I was present at every one of the public events.

This was a very proud moment for all Jamaicans at home and abroad. We could not help but feel proud that our small island was on show, and the JIS helped to make us proud.

I would ask that you convey to the hard-working team at the JIS and the other covering media houses how grateful I am, we are, that we were able to log on via websites in order to be kept abreast with this most unforgettable moment.

Thanks to every single member of the team for an excellent job. Well done!
