Dear Editor,
The incorrect speculation by many, including parts of the media and the Opposition, has now led to their 'corrective' comment that "the elections have been postponed".
How can one postpone something that was neither due, nor for which a date was set?
The rush to preempt Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has led quite a few down the wrong path, and so their efforts are now being designed to fix their idiotic assumptions and reverse blame by attempting to accuse Mrs Simpson Miller of doing the impossible.
Unless the election date was announced or constitutionally due, and then changed, it cannot be a postponed. Sorry, you all got it wrong!
The political astuteness of the leader of the People's National Party (PNP) has again been demonstrated, and at this point those not smart enough to analyse and understand the strategies that were being employed are now just bitter that they were so wrong.
So, in their desperate attempts to avert attention from their error of suspicion, they have now sought to chide the PNP and the PM for postponing an election that was never announced.
I know that the PNP has worked wonders for the masses in Jamaica, but I'm pretty sure that their governance ability does not extend into the space-time continuum.
Is it that the Jamaica Labour Party's political strategists were so naïve in not seeing this?
This doesn't say much for them in the strategic-thinking realm because they were led to spend fortunes they can ill afford and have even gone to the dimwitted length of cancelling their annual conference in an effort to maximise their on-the-ground activities for a 2015 election.
Alas, not many persons are willing to admit that they missed the mark on this one and got charged up for no qualified reason, as it would be way too much of a hit for their delicate egos.
Sorry, my friends, Portia's political guile has made a mockery of those who think they are in the know and/or those who consider themselves prophetic political pundits.
