Dear Editor,
The parents upset about the fondling incident at a basic school have all right to be, as the teacher’s response to the incident leaves much to be desired.
That children went “missing” long enough for the female child’s clothes being pulled down and the boys attempting to fondle her is shocking.
The practice, the parents have learned, has been happening too frequently at the school. The teacher reportedly saying “it’s not like the child was raped”, is unprofessional. She should not be dealing with children. We are speaking of children who have not yet reached the age of six years old! They must be constantly monitored.
Let’s not even talk about where they saw this behaviour.
