Dear Editor,
A few weeks ago I wrote an letter titled ‘Trump supporters are not stupid’ in the midst of Etana’s backlash. I gave a few reasons I supported Trump, and I also mentioned why he would defeat Hillary Clinton. Now that I am proven correct, I want to further make a few declarations.
Donald Trump will be America’s most respected president ever. He believes he has the formula for greatness and he will move heaven and Earth to convince the world that he is the panacea of our problems.
Trump will give political experts sleepless nights many years to come because he was so clever in his whole campaign.
I placed my reputation on the line nine months ago when I officially supported this so-called bigot. However, I saw what the average man could not. I clearly saw through his antics and realised that Donald Trump was an excellent persuader. Everything he did on stage was well orchestrated and planned to receive a specific reaction — keep the attention on himself. What he did was to slowly use gimmicks and low blows to defeat his opponents while creeping into the psyche of the electorate. While most of us saw his actions as a clownish behaviour, it was actually a strategy to grab us unexpectedly.
I believe the world need not panic. Donald Trump is very narcissistic and he lives to gain recognition and to prove himself. He will do well as president — if not for his ego’s sake.
